The formerly named Unibet company, Kindred Group PLC, has sealed a deal to acquire 32Red PLC including a whole other list of brands for a multi million deal of $219 million.
This does not really come to us as a suprise as 32Red has been already targeted for acquisition for quite some time now. Even players became aware that changes might be imminent as promotions and other bonuses had changed drastically.
As stated earlier, 32Red is not the only one which is included in the deal, there is also Roxy Palace, 32Red Poker, 32Red Bingo, Golden Lounge, Dash Casino and Casino Splendido.
Useless to say that 32Red was a brand that acquired an impressive reputation for being an honest and trustworthy amongst the huge list of players. In 2015, Unibet bought Stan James which provided sports betting, casino, games and poker services.
The stiff competition in the UK market has increased to a point where if you are not big enough then you are most likely going to sink with the rest of the smaller operators.
By the end of 2015 the gambling industry saw some of the biggest mergers, with more then $12 billion in merging deals. To give you an example, we saw a bid of $4.4 billion from Paddy Power to acquire Betfair and also the merge between Gala Coral and Ladbrokes to name a few.
Having sad the above, Kindred will now hold a strong position in the UK market with 32Red's established reputation. They can now also have some breathing space and not depend only from the Swedish market.
This acquisition will also give the opportunity to 32Red to open its doors to the Dutch market as well.
